Who

VAL is an international company, founded by Chiara Marin, to help film and media business to find, adapt or create contents around the art world for cinema.
The company work all over the world through the creation or the management of audiovisual and cinema markets, festivals (Venice…) and events, the international missions or consultancies, the organization of professional seminars.

The programmes and events of Venice Art Lab are: The Cross-Media Lab, Arts and Crafts open doors and  Artnews Network. Chiara Marin, is an Historian of Art (Ph.D) and an expert art curator and media consultant of innovative cross-media story approaches, audience engagement and cross-industry business strategies. She advises and works with international media organisations, galleries, publishers, productions, funds and startups through the consulting arm of the company CM Art Productions & Adaptations.

VAL is also a creative platform where the fil rouge will be Venice and the perspective will be an increasing awareness and enhancement of the history, culture and territory of this city.
We are firmly convinced of the possibility of still being able to create services for residents and lagoon companies, parallel to innovative activities aimed at visitors who love and respect this city from the bottom.
VAL's aim is to develop sustainable cultural, recreational and training projects to raise awareness of local excellence in the arts and crafts as well as import new socio-cultural models through educational and dissemination experiences.
We believe in teamwork, and we will make all our skills available to spread culture in this wonderful and delicate city of ours. For these reasons, we consider nothing more important than the value of citizenship, this project will be open, an agora in which, every suggestion from Venetians and non-Venetians, will be welcomed with attention and interest in order to offer new services of common interest: therefore do not hesitate to contact us by email at: venice.artlab@gmail.com ''

CM Art Productions & Adaptations
With quite a strong artistic experience and an important network in the  art world, in the cinema industry and in festivals, our wish is to support the independent production of confirmed film directors and  to discover new film directors but also to help productions to find new cotent for adaptations related to the art world.
VAL: The Cross-Media Lab

This lab aim to put together 3 worlds that often are apart but that in the end depend on each other: art, cinema and publishing in order to create new connections and collaborations between these incredible and inexhaustible worlds and to consult new filmmakers, artist, authors to develop their projects and to get known by the art and film industry.
VAL Arts & Crafts open doors
Venice was built first of all by artisans and if it has made itself known in the world it is thanks to its unique workers in the world (in glass, in mereltto, in wood) but today there are many new artisan and artistic frontiers that try to make their way trying to offer quality in an increasingly difficult tourism context. This initiative will therefore propose a few days in which Venice artisans and galleries of all sorts will open their doors to visitors to make it clear that craftsmanship still lives in Venice and it is mostly thanks to it that Venice will live.
VAL Artnews Network

Through this section we want to report films, exhibitions, books, events or initiatives  and tours that we believe are excellences and connected to Venice but also to great women. "When we too are armed and trained, we can convince men that we have hands, feet, and a heart like yours; and although we may be delicate and soft, some men who are delicate are also strong; and others, coarse and harsh , are cowards. Women have not yet realized this, for if they should decide to do so, they would be able to fight you until death; and to prove that I speak the truth, amongst so many women, I will be the first to act, setting an example for them to follow.
